BLACKBERRY SETTINGS/CONFIGURATION – FOR AIRTEL, ETISALAT, GLO AND MTN



This article presents how to configure Blackberry for browsing - featuring Blackberry configuration for Airtel, MTN, Etisalat and Glo. It includes all the detail for Blackberry settings. This is mainly about how to configure your Blackberry manually since the automatic settings don't require any considerable action on your part. This also includes how to resolve any configuration error you might encounter.

To configure your Blackberry for browsing therefore, follow these steps:
Step 1: press your menu key
Step 2: Scroll to network set up or navigate as follows: Main Menu > Options > Device > Advanced system settings > TCP/IP. Ensure you enabled the APN
settings and APN Authentication
Step 3: Enter your Access point name (APN), username and password as follows.

1. AIRTEL
PORT: 8080
USERNAME: Leave blank
PASWORD: leave blank
APN (Access Point Name): internet.ng.airtel.com
Authentication: Normal

2. ETISALAT
APN: etisalat
Username: Leave blank
Pw: Leave blank

GLO
APN: Gloflat
Service name: Glo 3G
U/n: flat
Pw: flat

For MTN, only automatic configuration is available so far: Send SETTING to 3888
